Welcome to Starlit Passage. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the Starlit Passage website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Services"). By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Services.

1. Overview

Starlit Passage is a calm, modern platform that helps families create memorial tribute pages, discover funeral and memorial service vendors, and coordinate communication and booking with those vendors and other supporting professionals.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Services. By using the Services, you represent that you meet these requirements.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

You may submit content, including tribute stories, photos, guestbook entries, candle messages, messages to vendors, and booking details ("User Content"). You retain ownership of your User Content, but grant Starlit Passage a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and use your User Content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Services.

5. Vendor Content and Relationships

Vendors are independent providers and are solely responsible for the services they offer, including accuracy of information, pricing, availability, and service quality. Starlit Passage does not provide funeral or memorial services and is not a party to any agreement between users and vendors.

6. Messaging and Booking Tools

Our messaging and booking tools are provided for convenience and do not themselves create binding contracts or guarantees. Any agreements or arrangements made through the Services are solely between you and the vendor or other party.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to post unlawful, harmful, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate content, or to harass or harm others. You also agree not to interfere with the operation of the Services or attempt to access them in an unauthorized manner. For more details, please see our Acceptable Use Policy.

8. Intellectual Property

The Services, including the underlying software, design, and content, are owned by Starlit Passage, Inc. or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works based on the Services except as expressly permitted in these Terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee continuous or error-free operation of the Services.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Starlit Passage, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Services.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice within the Services or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the Services after the updated Terms become effective constitutes your acceptance.
